Age of Amateurism
A downloadable game for Windows
Age of Amateurism was a school project in which we had to make our own TBS game. I choose to make a more complex game where the focus was more on creating units and placing them in a strategically better way than your opponent like chess than the usual TBS with only units.
As the development time was limited I choose to focus more on the functionality than on the looks of the game as I think this is more interesting and important.
In the end I managed to make a lot of functionality at the cost of the usability of the user. If I had more time I would have made a tutorial for it explaining the basics of the game and fixing some of the bugs that are still in it.
In this project I learned that even though I like to make the functionality I still should spend time on making the game playable by someone other than me.
